SimpliPhi Power Clean Energy Storage Celebrates Another Year of Record Growth in 2018

California-based company announces year-end “Give Thanks, Give Back” rebate for top-rated energy storage systems

Oxnard, CA (November 20, 2018) — For the eighth consecutive year, California-based clean energy storage company SimpliPhi Power announced record growth, marking this year’s milestone with a “Give Thanks, Give Back” rebate program. The rebate is designed to show appreciation to the installer partners who have championed the company’s technology since 2010.

“We recognize that our continued growth would not be possible without the solar and energy installer community that has shown us such immense loyalty over the years,” said Catherine Von Burg, SimpliPhi Power CEO. “Our success as a mission-driven startup that’s grown to global scale lies in the tireless work and creative ideas of installers and innovators on the ground. Our goal in offering direct cash rebates to installers to close out 2018 is to show our thanks and support of their businesses — just as they continue to support us.”

SimpliPhi announced that 2018 will be yet another banner year, with 100% growth projected by year’s end, exceeding previous years in the company’s seven-year history. In October, to keep up with growing global demand, the company relocated its headquarters, manufacturing and R&D operations to a larger facility in Oxnard, CA. The new space has allowed the company to significantly expand manufacturing capacity, continue to scale and bring down costs.

Changing global conditions have driven increasing demand for renewable energy solutions. A contributing factor to the increasing demand for SimpliPhi energy storage has been the growing number of wildfires, hurricanes and other natural disasters: increasingly severe conditions tied to climate change. These have led homeowners, businesses, communities and humanitarian programs to seek out non-hazardous, reliable and high performing energy storage systems capable of delivering energy security when the grid is either unavailable or unreliable.

“We recognize that the continued growth of our company is due in part to escalating threats to energy security,” said Von Burg. “Our residential, commercial and mobile product lines create access to reliable, safe and cost-effective power when it comes to resiliency and recovery.” emphasized Von Burg.

“Our communities and planet need answers, and together, as an energy industry, it’s our obligation to continue to innovate and deliver solutions. We have made a great impact so far — from hurricane recovery in Puerto Rico to fire resiliency for communities in our own California backyard, but there’s much more work to be done. Our installer partners are on the front lines ensuring that their customers have secure access to power, on their terms. We want to do all we can to empower installers to transform the energy reality of as many people in as many global communities as possible.”

Last week, CEO Catherine Von Burg issued a statement in response to the most recent California wildfire tragedies, emergencies that have impacted the company, community and industry. (Source, LinkedIn: Resilience in the “New Normal”: Empowering People & Communities)
