Position Overview:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for driving our world-class, data-driven marketing program. This role is also a key contributor to developing marketing messages and communications, planning and strategizing campaigns, and analyzing outcomes and recommending any necessary refinements. Driving digital marketing and communications will be a primary focus, but as a small and adaptable team this individual will also be involved in the full array of marketing and communications activities – from developing concepts and campaigns, to metric-based analysis and adaptation. Primary Job Duties:

  • Support annual marketing strategy. Plan and support sales strategies and initiatives
  • Understand customer and prospect base and develop effective sales and marketing messages within the context of company’s industry, customers, and market segments
  • Identify and develop strong calls to action to help generate leads and manage the prospect funnel for desired results
  • Develop digital advertising campaigns and track effectiveness
  • Use digital analytics across website, social media, & other software platforms to analyze what works and what doesn’t to inform strategy

Required Qualifications:

Primary Job Duties:

  • Develop and implement quality standards, systems and controls including documentation, visual aids, and testing procedures to ensure repeatable manufacturing quality
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance
  • Develop and report quality metrics to demonstrate performance against standards
  • Inspect and test materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met
  • Establish Incoming QC (IQC) procedure for materials/components/sub-systems and conduct IQC operations
  • Establish Outgoing QC (OQC) procedure for finished goods and conduct OQC operations
  • Collaborate with manufacturing team to develop and implement controls and process improvements
  • Ensure that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations
  • Investigate and troubleshoot product and production issues
  • Develop and implement corrective actions, solutions, and improvements
  • Reviewing codes, specifications, and processes. Ensure supplier quality systems are effectively evaluated and meet the Company’s quality requirements

Sales Application Engineers (SAE) are responsible for directly contributing to and meeting the company’s revenue and growth goals, including monthly, quarterly and annual sales projections by identifying opportunities, establishing partnerships and winning projects specific to the use of energy storage systems. The SAE will have direct ownership in supporting development projects, defining and managing cross-functional revenue generating opportunities and working with regulatory and advocacy bodies to support expansion of energy storage in multiple markets and application scenarios. SAE’s are expected to have extensive technical acumen on the use of energy storage across a wide array of applications as they interface with our Engineering Team in the development of specific products and feature sets in R&D.

SAE’s are encouraged to build new customer relationships, maintain existing relationships, educate installers on best practices in the use of product in systems, and answer project based technical questions as a team across a broad spectrum of applications. Expectation is that each SAE is responsible for outreach, project management, and pre-sales technical support regardless of project application on inbound calls and emails.

Our team is divided into territory specific areas of focus, while building and developing relationships and sales across all application specific channels, such as Utility, Project Level, OEM, Residential, and Commercial & Industrial Sales.

Travel: Up to 50% of the time

Location: Mid United States preferred, but will consider other locations based on candidate qualifications and experience

Primary Job Duties:

  • Effectively communicate and educate all prospective and existing customers and strategic partners on the company’s products, integrated systems and competitive advantages at conferences, trade shows, events, calls and in written communication.
  • Track, manage, update and prioritize leads and opportunities in company CRM to provide information and progress for reference to all internal teams.
  • Solicit feedback from external and internal stakeholders on opportunities for product development, quantify opportunities and present to cross functional teams and leadership for prioritization.
  • Identify, qualify, create and initiate collaborations with appropriate external parties to provide comprehensive solutions for development projects. Create and provide customer required documentation. Utilize software tools to quantify necessary savings and performance measures.
  • Work with existing and new customers to submit all customer required documentation, including but not limited to product technical requirements, safety and material documentation, single line diagrams, 3D renderings, interoperability, interconnection requirements and project specifications for applicable RFP or proposal submissions.
  • Answer in-bound customers’ technical questions regarding company products, over phone and email
  • Consistently perform research, request information and identify markets, incentives, policies, electrical code and jurisdiction requirements that align with Company’s product offerings. Identify public and private opportunities to assist in bringing product to market. Clearly communicate opportunities with cross-functional teams and provide project charters and strategic initiatives for approval.
  • Work with governmental, regulatory organizations to facilitate rules and regulations that favor safe and non-toxic energy storage solutions.
  • Work with advocacy organizations to promote energy storage.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in a customer facing role in energy storage or other renewable energy technology, responsible for meeting and exceeding quotas and goals.
  • 5+ year Professional Experience in the renewable energy industry, with preference towards energy storage specially.
  • Ability and experience working effectively with a remote management team.
  • Proven Communication skills working with customers, conveying technical information through written documentation, webinars and in-person presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience working in the renewable energy or energy storage industry, in a technical sales role
  • Project management skills
  • Knowledge of global, national and state level energy and utility level policy and regulation

Primary Job Duties:

  • Effectively communicate and educate existing and prospective distributors, customers and strategic partners on the company’s storage products, integrated systems and competitive advantages at conferences, trade shows, events, calls and in written communication.
  • Work closely with distributor network to ensure that the distributor Sales teams are trained effectively on how to sell SimpliPhi products and integrated systems into projects.
  • Track, manage, update and prioritize leads and opportunities in company CRM to provide information and progress for all internal teams.
  • Solicit feedback from external and internal stakeholders on opportunities for product development, quantify market prospects and present to cross functional teams and leadership for consideration and prioritization.
  • Identify, qualify, initiate and build collaborations with appropriate external parties to provide comprehensive solutions for development projects. Create and provide customer required documentation. Utilize software tools to quantify savings and performance measures for project proposals and analysis.
  • Work with existing and new distributors to submit all required documentation, including but not limited to product specifications, safety and material data, single line drawings, 3D renderings, interoperability requirements and project specific information for applicable RFP and commercial opportunities.
  • Answer pre-sale technical questions regarding company products and systems via phone, email and in person.
  • Perform technical and market research, identify incentives, policies, electrical code and jurisdiction requirements that align with Company’s product offerings.
  • Identify public and private opportunities to assist in generating new projects with distribution partners.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years professional experience in the renewable energy industry, with preference towards energy storage specially.
  • 3+ years in a technical customer facing role in energy storage or other renewable energy technology.
  • 3+ years’ experience being responsible for meeting and exceeding sales quotas and goals.
  • Ability and experience working effectively with a remote management team.
  • Critical thinker with high degree of interpersonal skills.
  • Financial acumen and ability to synthesize and align with technical specifications and project objectives.

The SAE will have direct ownership in supporting development projects, defining and managing revenue generating opportunities and working with regulatory and advocacy groups to support expansion of energy storage across multiple applications. SAE’s need to have technical acumen in the use of battery storage in a wide variety of applications, SAE’s interface with our Engineering Team in the development of specific products and engineered systems.

SAE’s are expected to build new customer relationships, maintain existing relationships, educate installers on best use of product in systems, and answer technical questions across a broad spectrum of applicable scenarios. Each SAE is responsible for outreach, project management, and pre-sales technical support regardless of project application on inbound calls and emails.

Our team is divided into targeted areas of focus, while building and developing relationships and sales across all application specific channels, such as Utility, Project Level, OEM, Residential, and Commercial & Industrial Sales.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Effectively communicate with and educate prospective and existing customers and strategic partnerships on the company’s products, integrated systems and competitive advantages at conferences, trade shows, events, calls, and written communication.
  • Track, manage, update and prioritize leads and opportunities in company CRM to provide information and progress for all internal teams.
  • Solicit feedback from external and internal stakeholders on opportunities for product development, quantify opportunities and present to cross functional teams and leadership for prioritization.
  • Identify, qualify, initiate and build collaborations with strategic external parties to provide comprehensive solutions for development projects. Create and provide customer required documentation. Utilize software tools to quantify savings and performance measures for project proposals and analysis.
  • Work with existing and new customers to submit all required documentation, including but not limited to product specifications, safety and material data, single line drawings, 3D renderings, interoperability requirements and project specific information for applicable RFP and commercial opportunities.
  • Answer customers’ technical questions regarding company products and integrated systems via phone, email, and in person.
  • Perform technical and market research, identify incentives, policies, electrical code and jurisdiction requirements that align with Company’s product offerings.
  • Identify public and private opportunities to support in bringing company products to market. Clearly communicate opportunities with cross-functional teams and provide project proposals and strategic initiatives for approval.
  • Work with governmental and regulatory organizations to facilitate rules and regulations that favor safe and non-toxic energy storage solutions.
  • Work with advocacy organizations to promote energy storage.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years professional experience in the renewable energy industry, with preference towards energy storage specially.
  • 3+ years in a technical customer facing role in energy storage or other renewable energy technology.
  • 3+ years’ experience being responsible for meeting and exceeding sales quotas and goals.
  • Ability and experience working effectively with a remote management team.
  • Critical thinker with high degree of interpersonal skills.
  • Financial acumen and ability to synthesize and align with technical specifications and project objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management skills and experience
  • Knowledge of global, national and state level energy and utility level policy and regulation
  • A demonstrated ability to take on multiple responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Environmental Science, Business or Chemical Engineering or similar professional experience

Position Overview:

The Customer and Technical Support Specialist will take responsibility for providing technical support by developing valuable relationships with installers and integrators, as well as establishing partnerships with other manufacturers within specifically defined market segments.

This is not an IT job or related to IT. The role requires experience answering a broad range of technical questions regarding renewable energy systems, battery operating parameters, appropriate Balance of System equipment, proper battery wiring, LFP battery chemistry, battery management, system functionality, interoperability and more. The Support Specialist will handle returns, processing RMA’s and assisting customers with submission of paperwork using our CRM platform.

The Customer Support Specialist will assist and troubleshoot systems in the field with distributors and installers working with SimpliPhi’s Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) batteries and integrated systems. This position is the entry point to a company regarded as an industry leader, but by no means is it entry level. Customer Support, actually answering the phone and engaging with people who have questions, need help or just want to touch base with the company, is what matters most to us: empowering people with information and support to do what they need to do.

We are looking for someone who has a unique combination of skills and experience both on the customer service side as well as the technical side with a comprehensive understanding of renewable energy systems that incorporate storage solutions. This role is designed to expand candidate’s knowledge of these types of solutions, both on grid and off, as well as build on standard renewable energy system experience. Primary Job Duties:

  • Provide intake details on all technical support calls and emails, providing detailed analysis of system configurations and solutions to customers
  • Assist customers with battery system setup and Balance of System equipment settings (remotely)
  • Discuss system performance issues and concerns with customers
  • Troubleshoot system issues, coordinating with Tier 2 Tech Support to resolve when necessary
  • Collaborate with other equipment manufacturers to solve integration issues, better understand potential future problems and establish proactive preventative steps in training and other technical documents
  • Track customers’ feedback regarding products and document issues in CRM
  • Stay up to date with the company’s offered products and product features, as well as the latest Balance of System equipment in the market
  • Recommend to customers appropriate products based on the specific application, outlining products’ capabilities and limitations
  • Recommend to customers appropriate battery system size and overall system design
  • Effectively communicate and educate all prospective and existing customers on the company’s products, solutions and advantages at events, on calls and in written communication
  • Solicit feedback from external and internal stakeholders on opportunities for product development, quantify opportunities and present to cross functional teams and leadership for prioritization

Minimum Mandatory Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ in a customer facing technical sales role in energy storage or other renewable energy technology
    • or
  • 2+ year professional experience in the renewable energy industry, with preference towards an energy storage specialty
  • Expertise with solar photovoltaic system design and energy storage sizing
  • High level of proficiency with technical support via phone, email and in-person field settings
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Independently make decisions and solve problems based on technical acumen
  • Direct customer service experience and/or experience talking on the phone with customers across renewable industry
  • Ability to remember and communicate detailed technical information clearly and accurately
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Mastery of CRM or Helpdesk software
  • Energy storage field installation experience a plus
  • Technical degree and/or 3 or more years of experience in the energy storage industry required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working for or with renewable energy distribution or installation companies
  • Establishing strong relationships with installers in the industry
  • A demonstrated ability to drive sales through technical support and customer service relations
